North American Headline Tour Kicks Off March 14 With Support from Chase Petra, Teenage Joans and TX2 |
March 8, 2024 – Pop punk YouTube star NOAHFINNCE has released his debut album today! ‘GROWING UP ON THE INTERNET’ is now available to buy & stream
Next week NOAHFINNCE embarks on his North American headline tour with support from Chase Petra, Teenage Joans and fellow Hopeless Records signee, TX2. Shows will kick off in Detroit, MI on March 14 at The Loving Touch. A full list of upcoming dates can be found below and tickets can be purchased here. NOAHFINNCE just finished a wildly successful run of dates in the UK supporting Enter Shikari and Fever 333.
In a few weeks, he will release the music video for the song “ALEXITHYMIA” found on the album. "I truly feel like everything in my life has led up to this moment, my fans have seen me grow up on the internet and now I can finally tell my side of the story,” says NOAHFINNCE on the release of his debut album.
The album was co-written and produced by ST£FAN. Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter from McFly are co-writers and producers on “LOVELY LADIES.” Additional producers on the record includes Julia Sykes, LAWRENT (Chainsmokers, Cheat Codes), Thomas Mitchener (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, The Damned) and Arcades (BTS). It features the previously released songs “3 DAY HEADACHE”, plus previous releases including anti-terf song, “SCUMBAG”, title track “Growing Up On The Internet” and “I Know Better”. “3 DAY HEADACHE” was recently featured as part of BBC Radio 1’s ‘Tune of the Week’.
‘Growing Up On The Internet’ takes you on a journey exploring Noah’s formative years, where he found himself navigating a suddenly accessible and unknown internet world. Going against the grain, having resilience in the face of adversity and trans and LGBTQ+ rights, are just some of the themes woven throughout the 11 tracks.
He explains, “I only recently began processing the effect that growing up on the internet with hundreds of thousands of eyes on me, has had on my development as a person. It’s impossible to separate who you are as a person and who you would be without people on the internet telling you who you should be - I’m sure a lot of my generation and generations to come can find solace in somebody recounting their frustrations with the world as it is now.
As a society, we’re entering uncharted waters where nobody quite knows the repercussions of having unrestricted access to any thought any person has at any time. Human beings weren’t built to perceive and compare ourselves to millions of others, we were made to pick berries and build relationships within our local communities.”
‘GROWING UP ON THE INTERNET’ is out now via Hopeless Records. Buy it HERE & Stream it HERE.
NOAHFINNCE is the alias of Noah Adams, a virtuoso performer (he plays drums, guitar, bass, ukulele and sings). Noah has always wanted community. It started as a kid, when he found understanding in the music of My Chemical Romance, Green Day and Fall Out Boy before taking his obsession online. From there, he started posting covers on YouTube where he now has 895k+ subscribers, and regularly queued for hours at local shows to get to the barrier, but also hang out with like-minded fans. He also used the platform to talk about his alienating experiences with coming out as trans and, after a lot of encouragement from his growing fanbase, started releasing his own music. Noah brings a refreshing new energy to the world of alternative rock and pop punk with his punchy anthems as well as establishing himself as a prominent figure within the online LGBTQ+ community.

Neck Deep has been a pop punk cult favorite for the last decade. We have all loved Ben Barlow’s angsty vocals and their poppy guitar, fast drum forward sound. Their songs are pop punk listeners favorite topics: break-ups, being a let down, society sucking, and a dash of UFO fun!
This new Self-Titled album feels like the band is trying to circle back to their roots, which we couldn’t be happier for! Releasing albums late on anyone’s career can be dicey but this was a winner and it’s probably shameful to admit how many times this album has been replayed in the car (already)!
It was genius for the band to release “Heartbreak Of The Century” on Valentine’s Day (2023), especially with such an addicting chorus (and a hilarious music video too). This single had everyone buzzing and wondering what the new album would really sound like!
Being a part of the “Elder Emo” generation with a daughter who is a carbon copy of me, “They Might Not Mean To (But They Do)” hit home and is a reminder why we all fell in love with Neck Deep in the first place!
“Moody Weirdo” is one of the best songs on this album. It’s oddly motivational, in its own pop punk way with another super catchy chorus! This song is easy to connect to and never get sick of!
Overall, this album feels like a more authentic Neck Deep. An album that they could take time on, have fun with, and remember what they love about making music! It would defiantly be hard to find a pop punk fan who didn’t enjoy listening to these tracks!

LOS ANGELES, CA – JANUARY 19, 2024 – After surprising and captivating the audience on the Nashville stop of “The Revolutions Live Tour” with a performance of “Scars” with surprise guest, Chris Daughtry, rock legends Papa Roach have shared the brand new live version of their hit single. This track is out now and streaming here.
“Scars (feat Chris Daughtry) (Live)” is not only a fresh take on one of the band’s biggest hits, but it also serves as the latest release on the band’s latest EP “Leave A Light (Talk Away The Dark)”. The track saw its debut performed live preceded by an emotional PSA delivered by front man Jacoby Shaddix, who pledged a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) on behalf of each city’s attendees, culminating in a $155,000 donation presented in Denver, CO. Three months later the song now sits in the top 10 at Rock radio becoming the band’s 26th song to reach that plateau.
“Joining voices with the legendary Chris Daughtry on “Scars'' was not only a surprise for fans at a sold out show, but the live recording was so great that we wanted to share it with the world” shares frontman Jacoby Shaddix. “Immediately, Chris was all-in on this track also benefitting the AFSP and their mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide - a cause that means so much to us both.”
Last year, the band were so impacted by the emotive response each night of the Revolutions Live tour and the work done by the AFSP, that they have since officially re-named the song “Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark)”, after the organization’s “Talk Away The Dark” campaign, and pledged a perpetual royalty from the song’s use, to be donated directly to the AFSP to continue their mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide long after the “Revolutions Live Tour” concluded.
“Scars feat. Chris Daughtry (Live)” royalties will also be donated to the AFSP in support of their “Talk Away The Dark” campaign. This impactful initiative teaches you the warning signs for suicide, and how to have a conversation that could save a life — whether it’s someone else’s or your own. Help is available — Talking, is the first step to preventing suicide.
Chris Daughtry shares: “It was an honor to perform this classic which has been a personal favorite with my friend Jacoby and the boys when they came to Nashville. It’s an even greater honor that it is being used to do some good for an organization that is close to my heart.”

January 19, 2024 – UK rock band Neck Deep have released their highly-anticipated self-titled album via Hopeless Records. Featuring previous singles “We Need More Bricks”, “It Won’t Be Like This Forever”, and Take Me With You”, the band's fifth studio album encompasses everything Neck Deep have excelled at across their career, enhanced and dialed to eleven. From the bouncing bombast of “Dumbstruck, Dumbf**k” and the ripping intensity of “Sort Yourself Out”, to the poetic introspection of “They Don’t Mean To (But They Do)”, Neck Deep is an album that boasts a song for almost any occasion (including, in “Take Me With You”, the impending alien invasion).
“We worked hard to get this album made, but we stayed true to ourselves and made the album that best represents us, from the ground up,” shares vocalist Ben Barlow on the new album. “We can’t wait for everyone to hear it and feel the same way we did, and to hear these songs sung back to us in a huge year of touring.”
“It Won’t Be Like This Forever” was added to Australia’s Triple J, marking the band’s first full add on the station. The album and other singles have recently been recognized by NPR, Rolling Stone, Grammy.com, Alternative Press, The Noise, New Noise Magazine, SPIN, and other notable outlets.
Neck Deep Tracklist:
1. Dumbstruck Dumbf**k
2. Sort Yourself Out
3. This Is All My Fault
4. We Need More Bricks
5. Heartbreak Of The Century
6. Go Outside!
7. Take Me With You
8. They May Not Mean To (But They Do)
9. It Won’t Be Like This Forever
10. Moody Weirdo
Neck Deep will be hitting the road in the United States next week to celebrate the release of their self-titled album. Joined by special guests Drain, Bearings and Higher Power, the tour will be making stops throughout the country, kicking off on January 25 in Nashville and visiting Orlando, Seattle, Minneapolis, Boston, Brooklyn and more, before wrapping up in Chicago on February 25. Later in the year, Neck Deep will be appearing at When We Were Young in Las Vegas where they will be performing Life’s Not Out To Get You.
The band also recently announced a headlining show performance at the legendary Alexandra Palace – affectionately dubbed Ally Pally – in London on March 28 with special guests Knuckle Puck and Drain.
Tickets to all of Neck Deep’s upcoming shows are on sale now at https://www.neckdeepuk.com/
In the little over a decade since Neck Deep formed in the Barlow brothers’ spare room in Wrexham, Wales, a lot has changed. From the scrappy, naively hopeful beginnings that define the starting of so many teenage bands, the pop-punks have gone on to be one of British Rock music’s most successful global exports in recent memory: top 5 records in both the US and UK, global touring, viral hits and over a billion streams just some of the fruits of ten years spent mastering their craft.
But now, as the band stand on the brink of their fifth, self-titled LP, there’s an acknowledgement that the more things change, the more – in some ways at least – they stay the same.
“This album is the sound of us knowing ourselves and knowing our ability,” explains frontman and youngest Barlow sibling Ben. “It’s unapologetically us. We’re professional songwriters now and we’ve really honed in on what we’re good at – but it’s also about having fun and enjoying writing these tracks. And there are those little sonic signatures in the mix that even I can’t really put my finger on that just make it Neck Deep. It happens when we get in a room together and it clicks - it’s us just doing our thing like we always have.”
For this record, the band, completed by Ben’s older brother and bassist Seb Barlow, guitarists Matt West and Sam Bowden and drummer Matt Powles, took ‘doing their own thing’ – and only their own thing – to the next level. Eschewing a keen list of collaborators and producers eager to work with one of rock’s hottest properties and choosing, instead, to write and record in their own warehouse space, mere miles from where they grew up. Old school, just like it used to be.
January 17, 2024 –Armed with their first new music since their 2022 EP, Sydney alternative band Yours Truly return today with “Call My Name”, out now via UNFD.
Loaded with driving guitars, sleek yet potent vocals and salient hooks, “Call My Name” is as much a sharp earworm as it is a stirring exploration into self discovery, flexing a fresh new sonic shade of Yours Truly following their formidable 2022 EP is this what i look like?.
"'Call My Name’ is about the internal struggles of being addicted to a person that you know is bad for you," frontwoman Mikaila shares of their brand new single. "You turn away from all their red flags because you have so much hope that they can be the person you created in your dreams. You defend them and begin to blame yourself. I realized that we as people crave acceptance from the people who make us feel we are not enough and on the other side some people use that power to their advantage. At the end of the day you realize some things aren’t meant to be and you need to make peace with that.”
Polished, precise and hauntingly vulnerable, Yours Truly transformed their previous trademark pop punk style into a dazzling new chapter via their 2022 EP is this, is what i look like?. Armed with raw honesty and heightened influences, is this what i look like? still explored moments of pop punk and introspection, but the end result forged an amalgamation of organic yet unexpected new sounds and thematic exploration into heightened rock, emo and dance-ready sparkle woven into the established Yours Truly DNA.
From their 2020 album Self Care scooping up an ARIA nomination for Best Hard Rock or Heavy album, to the release of their genre-bending 2022 EP is this what i look like?, and appearances at UNIFY and Slam Dunk Festival, Yours Truly spent the last few years further cementing their burgeoning global presence. The band has toured Europe alongside You Me At Six, ticked off their first ever headline shows in UK, supported acts like Senses Fail, I Prevail, Pierce The Veil, Fit For A King, and Against The Current across North America, and joined Neck Deep for a national Australian tour.
Yours Truly will feature later this month at THPS25, celebrating 25 years of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in Brisbane, with the legend himself, Tony Hawk, in appearance alongside an array of skaters and Aussie music acts. The band will also embark this March on a tour to launch “Call My Name”, performing in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne.

YELLOWCARD is excited to join THIRD EYE BLIND on their fourth edition of the Summer Gods Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will begin June 8 in Spokane through August 3 in Houston and will also feature A R I Z O N A.
Tickets will be available for presale Tuesday, January 9 with Citi, and additional presales throughout the week. General onsale will begin Friday, January 12 at 10:00am local time at ThirdEyeBlind.com.
On Thursday, January 11 catch a special live performance and interview with Yellowcard on “Good Morning America” on ABC.
“Third Eye Blind’s self-titled is a masterclass in songwriting that blew all of our minds when it was released in 1997,” says Ryan Key of Yellowcard. “As ‘90s kids we were gifted with so much incredible music in our formative years and we are all such massive fans of the band because of that record. It doesn’t feel real yet that we will be sharing the stage with one of our all-time favorite bands every night this summer.”
“I have this sense that I am feeling the same way everybody else is—that we need a summer tour so badly, like more than ever,” says Stephan Jenkins. “We need the lights, the noise, the heat and everybody up close to each other, singing as one. Can't wait."
Returning from a breakup is never easy, but Yellowcard have proven that after a six-year absence, not only did the heart grow fonder upon their return but their audience grew exponentially as well. Their recent Summer 2023 tour was their biggest yet with the largest venues they have ever headlined at capacity and their critically-hailed new EP Childhood Eyes landing them features in Rolling Stone, People, FORBES, Alternative Press, Consequence of Sound, Brooklyn Vegan, among others! Coupled with the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album Ocean Avenue, Yellowcard have returned to much acclaim.
Last December 2023, 2x-GRAMMY®-nominated music producer and DJ Steve Aoki, unveiled a nostalgic dance remix of Yellowcard's classic hit "Ocean Avenue" to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the timeless classic. Injecting fresh production, exhilarating dance drops, and vibrant energy. Aoki said of the remix which was released by Dim Mak, “We combined our different musical styles to create a perfect fusion of alt rock and electronic for this track. Honoring Ocean Avenue's 20th anniversary by blending these sounds was an amazing experience."
Certified double platinum in the US by the RIAA, gold in Canada, and silver in the UK, Ocean Avenue solidified Yellowcard’s indelible mark on the music world. The undying esteem that the album owns has not diminished in the twenty years since its release. Yellowcard's stratospheric success from their studio albums coupled with their powerful live performances cemented the band’s legacy in the history of alternative music.
As always, a portion of the proceeds for the Summer Gods Tour will benefit SeaTrees. Third Eye Blind has been on a mission to restore the kelp ecosystems of the entire California coastline and sequester carbon. Since 2017, Third Eye Blind has sought to mitigate the touring industry’s carbon impact and also banned plastic water bottles backstage, saving an estimated 17,000 bottles per tour. “We have a beautiful, bright future,” with climate action in the center of it. “That’s what I want people to know,” says Jenkins on CBS Mornings.
The Summer Gods tour poster was designed by Charlie Benante, the founding drummer of Anthrax and member of Pantera’s touring band.

Pop punk YouTube star NOAHFINNCE has released his anthemic new single “3 DAY HEADACHE" today. Sonically, the track showcases the artist’s pop side and was penned by Noah about the hitting a wall of burnout -- an all too relatable feeling for many recording artists. It’s the final single to be released ahead of his debut album release and the lyric video can be seen here.
“3 DAY HEADACHE is a song about being so exhausted and burnt out that I gave myself a migraine,” explains Noah on the new song. “I feel like I’ve been in a constant cycle of burnout, breakdown, bounce back for my whole adult life so why not put it into a cheesy lil bop?”
NOAHFINNCE is gearing up for the release of his long-awaited debut album. Pulling inspiration from My Chemical Romance, Bring Me The Horizon, 100 gecs, Kesha and The Prodigy, ‘Growing Up On The Internet’ will be released via Hopeless Records on March 8, and can be pre-saved here and pre-ordered here.
The album was co-written with of Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter from McFly, and produced by ST£FAN, Julia Sykes, LAWRENT (Chain Smokers, Cheat Codes), Thomas Mitchener (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, The Damned) and Arcades (BTS). It features the brand new “3 DAY HEADACHE”, plus previous releases including anti-terf song, “SCUMBAG”, title track “Growing Up On The Internet” and “I Know Better”.

NOAHFINNCE is gearing up for an upcoming US headline tour in March with support from Chase Petra, Teenage Joans and fellow Hopeless Records signee, TX2. Shows will kick off in Detroit, MI on March 14 at The Loving Touch. A full list of upcoming dates can be found below and tickets can be purchased here. Prior to this, NOAHFINNCE will be coming off a run of dates in the UK supporting Enter Shikari and Fever 333.

]]>December 12, 2023 – For the final time as a collective, Grammy-nominated band Sum 41 have announced their upcoming double album, Heaven :x: Hell, expected for release on March 29th, 2024 via Rise Records. Heaven :x: Hell is the most ambitious album from Sum 41 yet - Heaven is 10 tracks of snarling high energy pop punk, while Hell consists of ten heavy metal anthems spiked with fret-burning solos, thrashing riffs, and fist-pumping hooks. The band has been straddling the line of pop-punk and metal for their entire career, and Heaven :x: Hell is a testament to their innovative sound and unmatched skill, proving them as pioneers 27 years after the bands inception.
Heaven :x: Hell is available to preorder on indie exclusive vinyl here:
On the new album, vocalist Deryck Whibley says, “Once I heard the music, I was confident enough to say, ‘This is the record I’d like to go out on.’ We’ve made a double album of pop punk and metal, and it makes sense. It took a long time for us to pave this lane for ourselves, but we did, and it’s unique to us.”
Heaven :x: Hell Tracklist

Alongside the announcement, Sum 41 has released a new single and music video, “Rise Up”. The first offering from the upcoming album’s metal-filled Hell side, “Rise Up” opens with a flurry of guitar riffs and pounding drums fit for a mosh pit straight out of the band’s early years. “Writing 'Rise Up,' I felt the way I did when I first got signed,” says Deryck. “I felt the pressure and the need to create something great, but I felt so excited at the same time."
Previously, Sum 41 shared “Landmines”, from Heaven :x: Hell’s pop-punk Heaven portion. The track, with an anthemic chorus and ground-shaking drunk hits, was released alongside a nostalgic music video. The track gained the attention of notable outlets such as Entertainment Tonight, Consequence, NME, Exclaim!, BrooklynVegan, Alternative Press, KNOTFEST, and countless others.
Earlier this year, Sum 41 announced their breakup after 27 years of making music together - the news was reported on by The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, CNN, Bloomberg, Pitchfork, TODAY, CBS, Billboard, and countless other major news outlets globally. Heaven :x: Hell is aiming for nothing short of greatness, a perfect parting gift from the band to the fans that have supported them endlessly. Deryck spoke about it with GQ, here.
“I love Sum 41, what we’ve achieved, endured, and stuck together through, which is why I want to call it quits,” Deryck leaves off. “There were so many times we could’ve broken up. For some reason, we kept sticking it out. I’m proud of that. It’s the right time to walk away from it. I’m putting all of my energy into what’s ahead. This is going to be the biggest tour of our lives, and I want to make it the best show we’ve ever done. That’s it.”
Looking back at the band’s storied 27 year career, Sum 41 has firmly cemented their place in rock history with over 15 million records sold worldwide, multiple Billboard Charting releases, a Grammy Award nomination, 2 Juno Awards (7 nominations), a Kerrang! Award in 2002, multiple Alternative Press Music Awards, and countless other accolades.

Global rock superstars Green Day – Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool – aren’t holding back on their latest single, “Dilemma.” This high-octane track will be featured on the band’s 14th studio album Saviors – due January 19, 2023 – along with their previously released singles “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and “Look Ma, No Brains!”.
Listen to “Dilemma” HERE.
Watch video for “Dilemma” HERE.
Pre-order Saviors HERE.
The accompanying black-and-white music video finds Billie Joe Armstrong passed out on the ground as he slurs out the brutally honest lyrics, “I was sober now I’m drunk again / I’m in trouble and in love again / I don’t want to be a dead man walking / I don’t want to be a dead man walking.” The visual follows the band through a classic night of performing hard and partying even harder. As the track winds down, memories start to gain some color as Billie gets hit with the cold hard sober truth: Drunk Billie made a mess of everything.
“‘Dilemma’ was one of those songs that was kind of easy to write because it was so personal to me,” Billie Joe Armstrong explains. “We’ve seen so many of our peers struggle with addiction and mental illness. This song is all about the pain that comes from those experiences.”
Earlier this year, Green Day kicked off Rocktober with the release of their first single from Saviors – “The American Dream Is Killing Me” – following a massive Las Vegas takeover during When We Were Young Festival weekend. The track is currently #1 on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Airplay Chart.
Green Day have never shied away from vulnerable subject matter in their lyrics, and Saviors is no different. Recorded in London and Los Angeles, Saviors is the latest powerful collaboration between Green Day and Grammy-winning producer Rob Cavallo, whose notable previous work with Green Day includes two of the band’s most iconic albums, 1994’s Dookie and 2004’s American Idiot. The record comes just ahead of Dookie’s 30th anniversary - celebrations have already begun with the release of a massive deluxe edition of the album and a surprise show in Las Vegas, where the band performed Dookie from front to back to a sold-out crowd of superfans.
Recently, Green Day announced a larger-than-life 2024 global stadium tour with support from the illustrious rock luminaries The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas in North America and Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The Interrupters and Maid of Ace in the UK/EU. The Saviors Tour, fueled by Monster Energy, kicks off in Europe next May before making its way to North America in July for an intoxicating summer run through the states. All tour dates can be found HERE.
This reimagined version of "Frozen" intertwines smooth acoustic melodies with the magic elements of the holiday season. Rain City Drive took advantage of the icy theme for the track and laced it with jingle bells and the atmosphere of enchantment that December brings.
"We had discussed potentially doing a Christmas cover in December and thought it would be fun to release a wintery/holiday version of Frozen instead. Featuring sleigh bells and “icy” clean guitars I think this version compliments the lyric in a nice way. We want to wish our fans a happy holiday season and we’ll see you in 2024 with new music!" Says lead vocalist, Matt McAndrew.

Nov. 16, 2023 – Better Lovers end 2023 with the unexpected release of “Two Alive Amongst The Dead,” a standalone single that caps off a year that saw the Better Lovers seemingly burst out of nowhere only to become one of heavy music’s most talked about, and promising, new bands.
“’Two Alive…’ was birthed on tour this Summer,” Will Putney notes of the nearly-three-minute rager that Jose Mangin debuted yesterday on Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal. “We were having fun with the high energy, aggressive material live, and that cathartic spirit carried into this song. This is a band that never stops having ideas and likes the challenge of showing new music to fans live, so it was performed and fine-tuned on our Fall dates, and then immediately tracked in the studio between touring to make sure that fire stayed intact. There is no better feeling than capturing lightning in a bottle like this.”
Greg Puciato adds: “This song is about saying fuck you to the societal and institutional pressure to fall for “me versus you”/”us versus them” divisional tactics and realizing that we’re stronger when we remember the ways we’re the same, trying to find commonalities instead of differences. Understanding and finding compassion for one another instead of allowing ourselves to be separated and controlled. Brothers and sisters. Pieces of the same consciousness.”
Better Lovers return to the studio in January, working on their debut full-length via SharpTone Records, but not before closing out the year with a pair of sold out “BLissmass” shows: Dec. 8 at Town Ballroom and Dec. 9 at Buffalo Iron Works, both in Buffalo. The band has also confirmed multiple festivals performances for the new year, including Sick New World 2024, Jera on Air, Tons of Rock and 2000trees.
Better Lovers announced their very existence in April with the release of “30 Under 13,” leading Consequence to astutely say: “Rather than fire off a warning shot, Better Lovers signaled their arrival with a crushing banger of the highest caliber.” The band, once again without notice, released the four-song EP, God Made Me An Animal, in July, before venturing out on their first North American tour. Revolver characterized the offering as a “four-song thrill ride,” adding that the five-piece “attack like a… band out for blood.”

November 16, 2023 – UK-rock band Neck Deep have shared their newest single “We Need More Bricks” from their upcoming self-titled album, Neck Deep, via Hopeless Records. An inspiring politically charged anthem, “We Need More Bricks” hits with explosive instrumentals and thought-provoking lyrics that hopefully leave listeners energized to never stop fighting for what is right.
‘We Need More Bricks is, in my opinion, Neck Deep at their political best,” shares vocalist Ben Barlow. “Touching on everything from the monarchy, immigration, protest laws and international wars. We find ourselves at a cross section in the zeitgeist where bricks could be used to build something, or to be destructive. I’m calling on punks and those that want to make a difference, to do so. As well as being our most poignant political track to date, it also features my favourite riff/ breakdown we’ve ever written, with a mosh call that, I hope, makes the listener think about their role in the world, and to speak up, take action on the many injustices the world faces today. I’m looking forward to playing this one live the most of any track on the record. If this one doesn’t get you moving then maybe Jason Derulo is more up your street.”
Fans can stream “We Need More Bricks” at https://ffm.to/weneedmorebrick
The band recently announced that their new self-titled album set for release on January 19th, 2024. Featuring “We Need More Bricks” and recent singles “It Won’t Be Like This Forever” and Take Me With You”, the new album encompasses everything Neck Deep have excelled at across their career, enhanced and dialed to eleven. “It Won’t Be Like This Forever” was recently added to Australia’s Triple J, marking the band’s first full add on the station. The album and other singles have recently been recognized by Rolling Stone, Grammy.com, Alternative Press, The Noise, New Noise Magazine, and other notable outlets.
Neck Deep is available to pre-order now at https://ffm.to/neckdeep
Neck Deep will be hitting the road in the United States in early 2023 to celebrate the release of their self-titled album. Joined by special guests Drain, Bearings and Higher Power, the tour will be making stops throughout the country, kicking off on January 25, 2024 in Nashville and visiting Orlando, Seattle, Minneapolis, Boston, Brooklyn and more, before wrapping up in Chicago on February 25. Later in the year, Neck Deep will be appearing at When We Were Young in Las Vegas where they will be performing Life’s Not Out To Get You.
The band also recently announced a headlining show performance at the legendary Alexandra Palace – affectionately dubbed Ally Pally – in London on March 28, 2024 with special guests Knuckle Puck and Drain.
Left to right: Sam Bowden (Guitar), Seb Barlow (Bass), Matt Powles (Drums), Matt West (Guitar), and Ben Barlow (Vocals).

November 10, 2023 – From throwing a house show to crashing a wedding, Taking Back Sunday has done it all – and that’s just within this past year. The beloved rock band released their eighth studio album (and Fantasy Records debut) 152 on October 27th and with it have reminded fans around the world that they’ve still got plenty of surprises up their sleeves.
Produced by Tushar Apte (whom the band met through a mutual collaboration with noted DJ Steve Aoki) and mixed by Neal Avron (Twenty One Pilots, Bleachers), the long-awaited LP features 10 intensely vulnerable and absorbing new tracks all delivered with fresh ambition and newfound purpose. Inspired by the long layoff and the cloud of uncertainty that blanketed the world (and music industry) these past few years, 152 stands among the most genuinely reflective and emotionally pure efforts of Taking Back Sunday’s illustrious career.
The band shared: "152 offers a lot more hope and light than we first realized when we were in the thick of it, putting it all together. We’ve been fortunate enough, through our music, to grow up with a lot of people going through the same things at the same time, and probably feeling the same way. Our hope is that you’re able to find a little bit of yourself in this new collection of songs, because you’re not alone, and neither are we.”
152 has been met with critical acclaim, including: Kerrang! (who declared: “…it might just be the best album of their career.”, US Weekly, Classic Rock, Brooklyn Vegan, Dork, Outburn, and more. It’s an album that is already solidifying its place amongst the band’s esteemed discography and proving what Taking Back Sunday has always known: the best is always ahead.
Taking Back Sunday are celebrating the release of their new album with an intimate sold out show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on Monday, November 13th. Fans can also look forward to their annual holiday spectacular on December 13th and 14th at Mulcahy’s on Long Island (both dates sold out!) and December 15th and 16th at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey – tickets for December 15th are still available here.
On Saturday, December 16th, Taking Back Sunday will also be holding their annual Holiday Pop-Up Shop and fundraiser at Starland Ballroom. Attendees will be able to catch a special acoustic set featuring some of the band’s hits as well as holiday classics, check out vendors, take photos with Santa, buy exclusive merch, and more. In honor of the band’s longtime attorney Dave Stein, a donation will be made to Tamerlaine Sanctuary & Preserve.
For a full list of upcoming shows, please see below or visit www.takingbacksunday.com.
About Taking Back Sunday
They’ve been making music together as a band for more than 20 years, have sold millions of albums—and along the way, amassed a devoted, international fan base. But ask the members of Taking Back Sunday if they still feel a burning desire to make a powerful impact and connect in a big way, and there’s not a moment of hesitation in the response. “I’m gonna try and conquer the world every time,” says lead singer Adam Lazzara with a smile.” Adds drummer Mark O’Connell: “When we’re writing songs, the one thing we ask ourselves is, ‘will it make people feel something?’ You try to make people feel emotion. That’s the one goal we went in with, and I think we did it.”
This unrelenting pursuit of greatness lies at the heart of 152, Taking Back Sunday’s long-awaited, thrilling eighth studio album (and Fantasy Records debut) out now. Written and refined over the course of several years, the group’s first full-length offering since 2016’s Tidal Wave is a passionate, melody-infused confessional from a band forever known for its honesty and vulnerability. The 10-track LP was produced by Tushar Apte (whom the band met through a mutual collaboration with DJ Steve Aoki) and mixed by Neal Avron (Twenty One Pilots, Bleachers).
“What Mark describes was the process for ‘Amphetamine Smiles,’” notes lead guitarist John Nolan. “When I brought that demo in, the band was vocal about making changes but not from some negative motivation. You have to be able to trust and listen to try to make the song better. We all had to do that constantly throughout the process of making this album, and it shows.”
When Taking Back Sunday first sat down together in late 2019 to begin working in earnest on what became 152, the band laid out some ground rules from the outset. They weren’t out to simply add more songs to their already-storied catalog, but rather make a piece of art they could be proud of.
To that end, so many of the songs that comprise 152 were workshopped like never before. As the band members explain, over the years they’ve learned to love letting a piece of music develop from its initial idea all the way to its sometimes drastically-different finished form. It’s a journey they’ve undoubtedly been on many times before when making previous albums, but as they found out when making 152, it’s one that continues to thrill them and keep things fresh.
Lazzara gets animated as he describes how so many songs on 152 morphed over the multi-year writing and recording process. Whether it was “S’old” transforming from a punky, Green Day- style rocker into a slow-building, emotion-dripping plea for acceptance, or “I Am The Only One Who Knows You,” which evolved from a galloping rock song into a beatific ballad, so many of the songs that comprise 152 found Taking Back Sunday continually surprising one another with musical ideas in new and exciting ways.
“You would think after 20 years we know what each other is going to do,” offers Lazzara. “But there were so many times making this record where you would hear the initial idea and think, ‘I know where this is going,’ but then was super surprised where it ended up. It’s those kinds of surprises that make it so exciting. That’s why we all still want it so badly.” Adds bassist Shaun Cooper: “If you can predict what each other is going to do, then it just becomes a job. It’s not an artistic expression. You’re not trying to grow.”
A major part of that growth is heard explicitly in 152’s unguarded lyrics: 20-plus years into Taking Back Sunday, Lazzara and Nolan are peeling back the curtain like never before. From the heartfelt recollections of the album’s epic opener “Amphetamine Smiles,” to the expressive yearning in lead single “The One”, listeners are invited into the songwriters’ collective heart.
Revitalized and unusually optimistic, Taking Back Sunday is ready to embrace what lies ahead. “Normally it’s like, this is working right now, let’s just go with it and see what happens,” admits Lazzara. “But the process of making this record has helped get me to a point where I’m looking ahead. I’m so excited about the possibilities. You’ve got to keep moving forward. We need to continue building onto this wonderful world.”
AWOLNATION
New EP ‘Candy Pop’ Out Now
Includes Two Unreleased Remixes
November 10, 2023 – ‘Candy Pop’, the new EP from AWOLNATION is out today. The release includes two new remixes of the title track by the artists Elohim and Flamingosis. Fans can stream the EP in full at this link: https://orcd.co/candypopep.
“Elohim is so talented and a dear friend. I was honored that she wanted to do a remix of the song. And I recently became familiar with Flamingosis’ work, and I instantly became a fan. So, it was exciting to be able to have him put his spin on this new single,” says AWOLNATION on the artists who remixed “Candy Pop”.
Elohim adds, "I love working with honest authentic artists who know what they want and are also open to collaboration and sounds they wouldn't normally turn to. Aaron is that. A wonderful friend and a joy to collaborate with. When I get calls from him asking if I want to participate on something it is always YES. As soon as I heard his vocal on candy pop I knew I wanted to dive in and dissect it. I had a lot of fun chopping this up and making this remix!”
"This was a fun tune for me to get out of my comfort zone and try some new things for this remix,” says Flamingosis. I had no idea where I was going to go with this one, ended up making it into a wonky boom bap flip while letting the vocals glide on the beat. I had fun putting my own spin on it, and hope you guys dig it as well!”
‘Candy Pop’ also includes the previously released singles “Freaking Me Out” and “We Are All Insane”. When “Candy Pop” was released, the music video completed the trilogy of videos directed by Eliot Charof. The videos take inspiration from classic film and paranoid fiction, revealing a dreamlike world that feels both futuristic and bygone, and have amassed over half a million views each. You can watch the trilogy in full here: https://youtu.be/44Epb9E1cNM
“It’s a story about escaping from never-ending technological advancements and constant connectivity and scrutiny… The adventure of a lifetime can come from ‘tuning out,’” says AWOLNATION architect Aaron Bruno.

Following the EP, Have Mercy signed with international label Rude Records to release a CD re-pressing of their debut LP The Earth Pushed Back. They also shared a previously unreleased b-side from their 2012 EP, My Oldest Friend, titled “Seventeen”. Most recently the band covered Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979” for Changing Tides, a compilation of acoustic covers benefitting Sea Shepherd as part of Rude Records’ charitable arm Rude Cares.

About Have Mercy
Emerging from their hiatus in 2020, Baltimore's alt-rock sensation, Have Mercy, are back and better than ever. Their comeback album, NUMB, slated for release on December 8th via Rude Records, marks a pivotal moment in their career. This album celebrates perseverance, sobriety, newfound love, and the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle, solidifying their place in the alt-rock pantheon.
After reevaluating their priorities, the band, consisting of Brian Swindle, Andrew Johnson, and Nick Woolford, began reconnecting as neighbors and friends. “There’s a bond between us that’s undeniable,” Brian Swindle says. “I think that’s something you can’t ever tear down at the core of it.” That connection has been evident throughout their journey, which began in Baltimore basements in 2012.
Over the years, they've released four full-length albums and five EP/split records. Their debut album, The Earth Pushed Back, garnered acclaim in 2013, leading to a deal with Hopeless Records. They produced memorable albums like A Place Of Their Own in 2014 and Make The Best Of It in 2017, working with producers Paul Leavitt and Brian McTernan. The Love Life was released in 2019, months ahead of their break. Their most recent offering, Self-Titled EP, was released in August 2022.
“I feel like the way that I explained it to most people is that the EP was kind of like a test run to see if we could do this because for years and years and years, we were like we want to do our own record. We want to do it all ourselves and stuff.” Andrew Johnson explains. And they were vindicated in their decision with their reformation hailed by titles such as Brooklyn Vegan, New Noise, Flood Magazine, The Alternative, and more.
As they embark on this revitalized chapter, NUMB finds Have Mercy rediscovering their passion with newfound wisdom. Free from self-imposed and industry expectations, they've created a heartfelt, honest, and liberated body of work.
Have Mercy regard NUMB as the best music the band has written. The self-produced record was mostly written and recorded in Brian Swindle’s basement and allowed them to recapture the origins of the band.

October 25, 2023 - Ontario, Canada - Having recently celebrated their 2500th show, Canadian post-hardcore legends Silverstein are thrilled to be embarking on their next headlining run in celebration of the 10 year anniversary of their beloved 7th studio album, This is How The Wind Shifts. For this special show, fans will be treated to TWO sets worth of material: one consisting of the full album and the second will be a greatest hits set. This will be the first and only time fans will be able to hear the entire album played in FULL. This will also be the last tour for the band before they head back into the studio to begin working on their next album, so don’t miss out on your chance to see them!
Beginning Thursday, November 23rd in Toronto at The Opera House, the band will visit over 15 cities across North America including stops in New York, Atlanta, Nashville, Los Angeles, Denver and more before wrapping up in Detroit, MI on December 17th at The Majestic. Joining them for this run will be special guests, Stray From The Path and Avoid. Tickets for the tour are available now HERE.
Originally released in 2013, This Is How The Wind Shifts, was one of the band's most ambitious concept albums to create with each song on side A having a corresponding parallel on side B that focuses on the same setting but dives into a different outcome, showing how a person’s life can be altered forever with a small shift in the wind. Fun fact – if you layer “This Is How” and “The Wind Shifts” on top of each other, you get a bonus song!
The record was embraced with wide critical acclaim and went on to chart in the top 60 of the Billboard 200 chart, number 14 on the Alternative Albums chart, number 3 on the Hard Rock Albums chart, number 12 on the Independent Albums chart, and number 18 on the Rock Albums chart.
Speaking on the tour, the band shares, “We heard the overwhelming demand for this tour and it's finally here! Celebrating 10 Years of our album ‘This is How the Wind Shifts’ & Greatest Hits. This album is very special to us, and we couldn't be more thrilled to be giving it the celebration it deserves. We will be performing the iconic fan-favorite concept album in its entirety for the first time ever. Additionally we'll be adding in a bunch of your favorite songs from the rest of our catalog - you don't want to miss it! We strive to make each show/tour a special experience for our fans, and this is no exception! Joining us will be two incredible bands: Stray from the Path & Avoid. This line-up rules and we're so glad we could put it together for you! We're kicking-off the tour at the same venue where we ended the Album release tour, a very special venue that holds a lot of nostalgia for us. We've hand selected a bunch of other clubs that have a lot of history for us - we're sure it will bring back memories to a lot of our fans!”
Silverstein released their latest studio album, Misery Made Me, last year via UNFD. Inspired by the past several years, Misery Made Me is a depiction of Silverstein – and world at large’s – collective turmoil, frustration, and anxiety. It’s a record that is a product of the moment in time in which it was created yet doesn’t feel like it will date itself anytime soon, as many of its topics of loneliness, anxiety and isolation are eternal human struggles. Listen to Misery Made Me now HERE.
It’s both intriguing and inspiring that a band – who could have merely rested on the impressive legacy they’ve already cemented – would continue to dig deep and find the inspiration to reach people in meaningful new ways. Misery Made Me is a campaign hinged on Silverstein’s reflection and gratitude for their roots, their honouring of their earliest fans, and their staunch desire to explore forward-thinking and adventurous ways to connect with new ones. |

Kicking things off we had Simple Plan who gave us everything they got on stage. Fans were immediately filled with nostalgia and singing every word right back to all the hits including: I'd Do Anything, Addicted, & Welcome To My Life before wrapping it up with Perfect. They even did an epic mashup of All Star / Sk8er Boi / Mr. Brightside before going into What's New Scooby Doo. We only had a few Scooby's in the crowd (fans are known to dress up as Scooby Doo and even get pulled on stage), you should have seen their face light up when this jam came on. The band is currently celebrating the twenty year anniversary of No Pads, No Helmets, Just Balls.
Next up was Sum 41. The band came in after AC/DC's T.N.T. to pump the crowd up. The band played nine songs including: The Hell Song, Walking Disaster, In Too Deep and a cover of Queen's We Will Rock You before wrapping up with their most successful single to date, Fat Lip. Frontman Deryck Whibley taught all the Skumfuks in the stadium how to do a 41 Salute and told us how for many, this may be the last time ever seeing the band as they are breaking up next year, you could hear the loud BOOOO from the crowd as he said it. The good news: the new record is finished! We can expect one final masterpiece from Sum 41 next year.
The Offspring really outdid themselves on this run. The intermission was one of the best we had ever experienced, and was very interactive keeping fans on their feet. They had a team member in a gorilla costume going to every end of the Amphitheater getting fans riled up for the band as they danced, did fun stunts for the multiple cameras, and give out t-shirts all while an Offspring Blimp was flying around the arena capturing the fans. The butt cam seemed to do best as everyone shook it and laughed out loud to what was on the big screen. The band took the stage, opening with Come Out and Play, and played a total of nineteen songs. Even while they were performing they had a very interactive video screen that kept fans on their feet. Hitting every fan favorite: Want You Bad, Original Prankster, (Can't Get My) Head Around You (and many more) keeping fans singing along all night. Frontman Dexter Holland treated the fans to a piano solo of Gone Away (along with a short story of the inspiration for the emotional track) the captivated fans lighting the amphitheater with lighters and phones. The California natives finished the night out for the packed house with their massive hit, Self Esteem.
10/10 - concert of the year. Sucks if you missed this one!
(August 17th - Syracuse, NY) This Wild Life kicked things off for us full swing with an acoustic guitar. Perfect for an upcoming nostalgic night full of early 00 emo songs, and even performed a cover of Blink 182's I Miss You. Fans seemed to enjoy the "Hot Topic Mumford & Sons" as they kept referring to themselves as.
In-between each set, Emo Night Brooklyn took to the stage fueling us with all the essential emo classics. At first, the crowd was not quite sure how to handle this, but they were all singing along to songs from artists like My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Pierce The Veil, and more!
Next up we had the heaviest act on the bill post-hardcore act, Story Of The Year, which feature their loud guitars, and massive singalong choruses. The band is also celebrating 20 years of their award winning album, Page Avenue. The band played through seven tracks, including songs from their new album Tear Me To Pieces and the anniversary album, Page Avenue. Mid set, frontman Dan Marsala had to stop and take note of the flocks of birds flying outside the left side of the amphitheater which were flying around just like the music video from their track, Anthem Of Our Dying Day.
It was a full circle moment as fans sang along- "And this is the moment that I live for." Finishing strong with their mega hit- Until The Day I Die.
Mayday Parade hit the stage next, immediately jumping for joy. They had an action packed set of eight tracks including their emo classics: Jersey, and Jamie All Over. Fans were screaming these deep cuts right back at the band, even louder than before. Overall, the amphitheater itself was packed full of Emo's of all ages at this point and overflowing some into the lawn area which made it feel like Warped Tour all over again.
As the sun started to go down, Yellowcard took the stage. The band is also celebrating 20 years for their Emo Cult Classic- Ocean Avenue. They played a massive nineteen track setlist hitting all of their essential tracks. During the tenth track, Derek Sanders from Mayday Parade came back out on stage to sing along to Hang You Up. Towards the end of the set, frontman Ryan Key told us the story of how Yellowcard got back together last year at Riot Fest 2022 (you'll have to just come and hear for yourself). The entire amphitheater was on their feet by the end of the set as the band finished strong with Only One and Ocean Ave before saying goodnight.
Back at the merch booth before the end of the night, only one vinyl record was available unfortunately. We were hoping to see more of a selection- especially considering the 20 year celebration of both Page Avenue and Ocean Avenue. The bands did have some other cool items in the booth- including street signs and tour posters. We realize this summer is JAM-PACKED with upcoming summer concerts from Live Nation- but if you missed this one, you're going to regret it! This is an essential nostalgic tour for an emo fan, whether old or new.

When platinum-selling alt-rock band YELLOWCARD announced a reunion show in 2022 for Riot Fest in Chicago, IL, no one predicted (not even the band) that they would do anything more than just that one show. But as anticipation and excitement built on both sides of the Atlantic with follow-up bookings at London’s Underworld (May 26, 2022) and Slam Dunk Festival (May 27-28, 2022) with record audiences, it became clear to the band that their internal chemistry was back in creative balance and their fans wanted more. With the release of their new EP Childhood Eyes (release date: July 21, 2023 via Equal Vision), they gave not only their fans something to look forward to but also themselves the confidence that this is exactly what was needed for them as a band.
The five songs that make up Childhood Eyes capture the spirit and essence of Paper Walls —its powerful yet tender anthems, its open-hearted emotional vulnerability, its sense of wide-eyed wonder against the odds—but they’re also riddled with the band’s experiences of the decade and a half since it came out. From the breakneck speed of “Three Minutes More” which features Pierce the Veil’s Vic Fuentes to the gorgeously plaintive final track “The Places We’ll Go” which features Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba (“When he comes in on that last chorus and you can really hear that Dashboard ripping grit in his voice, it’s just awesome,” says Key), the EP is a testament of a band re-finding its footing after a number of years apart.
Distorted Sounds says of the EP, “Childhood Eyes is dripping with pop-punk nostalgia, catchy rhythms, and a sound like they’d never even been on hiatus… Childhood Eyes just proves that these guys have stood the test of time as the tracks don’t feel out of time or place.” Sputnik Music gives the EP 4 out o f 5 stars, saying “Childhood Eyes has far exceeded expectations… Long may it last!” The Aquarian proclaims, “Yellowcard has finally returned and, man, is their comeback a massive one.” Substream sums it up nicely: "From the first playthrough of the band’s Equal Vision Records debut it becomes clear that this isn’t just a reunion; the five song EP is a succinct statement that Yellowcard is back."
As a companion to the release of their EP, they announced a full-scale North American tour (their first since 2017) which finds them in front of their largest crowds ever as a headliner. At their sold-out NYC show at The Rooftop at Pier 17 earlier this month, Digital Journal reported on the audience's reaction and said, “their presence was met with a raucous response from the Big Apple crowd.” V13 lauded their performance at their packed-to-the-gills Philadelphia show saying, “You could feel the energy amp up as people yelled with excitement as each band member took their place. It was as if Yellowcard never missed a beat.” Yellowcard still has 20 shows remaining in their landmark routing, finding them in Jacksonville, FL this evening for their first or two shows at Daily's Place Amphitheater. Dates in Texas, California, Seattle, Denver, and back to the East Coast are upcoming (tour dates below).
Yellowcard is Ryan Key (vocals, guitar), Sean Mackin (violin), Ryan Mendez (guitar), and Josh Portman (bass). CHILDHOOD EYES is released today (July 21, 2023) via Equal Vision on July 7, 2023 digitally and in limited edition vinyl and CD.

10 Years and Mascot Records have released a new recording titled “I Remember.” To view the official lyric video and hear the song, click here: https://youtu.be/P5Nqo-Otlz4. The release follows the isolated reveal of “The Optimist” that since being released has been streamed over NINE MILLION times. The accompanying video can be seen here: https://youtu.be/Wo9NPpMvg6U.
Guitarist Brian Vodinh shares, “’I Remember’ is about looking back at our youth and remembering how it felt like we had our entire lives in front of us. How we were full of hope and ambition and kind of clueless to how harsh the real world is. It’s about remembering how we used to always look at the bright side and weren’t so beaten up by life.”
Since forming in 1999, 10 Years have quietly pushed themselves and modern rock towards evolution. Building a formidable catalog, the group’s gold-selling 2005 breakthrough The Autumn Effect yielded the hit “Wasteland,” which went gold, infiltrated the Billboard Hot 100, and clinched #1 at Active Rock Radio and #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart. They landed three Top 30 entries on the Billboard Top 200 with Division [2008], Feeding the Wolves [2010], and Minus the Machine [2012]. In 2017’s (how to live) As Ghosts marked a reunion between Jesse, Brian, and Matt and achieved marked success. Not only did the album bow in the Top 5 of the US Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, but it also yielded the hit “Novacaine.” The single ascended to the Top 5 of the Billboard US Mainstream Rock Songs Chart and has now tallied over 40 million streams, across all DSPs. The cumulative total for all track streams from repertoire on how to live (As Ghosts) exceeds 70 million plays. Along the way, they sold out countless headline shows and toured with everyone from Korn, Three Days Grace, Deftones, and Stone Sour to Chris Cornell and Linkin Park. The band’s most recent studio album is titled Violent Allies, and was recorded with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Howard Benson [My Chemical Romance, Halestorm, Papa Roach]. The record has amassed over 45 million streams.
10 Years are: Jesse Hasek (Lead Vocals), Brian Vodinh (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Matt Wantland (Guitar), Chad Grennor (Bass) and Luke Narey (Drums).
Confirmed appearances are:
7/15 Cadott, WI Rock Fest
7/16 Mansfield, OH Inkcarceration Festival
8/04 Council Bluffs, IA KIWR Rockfest
8/05 Marietta, OH Adelphia Summer Concert Series
9/01 Camdenton, MO Ozarks Amphitheater
9/06 Alton, VA Blue Ridge Rock Festival

]]>"Owl City's Ocean Eyes After 14 long years, the feeling of nostalgia is overwhelmingly strong with this album. The electro-pop sound of Adam Young (AKA Owl City) has been able to withstand the test of time.
As you listen to the album, it's hard not to start dancing to it with each passing song. I believe it needs to be said that the song "Fireflies" not only gives you that nostalgic late 2000's dance music feel, but is also a classic that won 2010 record of the year. The memories of sitting in the car and turning on the radio and hearing that iconic intro and instantly jamming and singing along is a hard feeling to beat. One other song on this album that impressed me was, "Vanilla Twilight". The way the song sounds and is delivered is a lot different in my opinion than the rest of the songs, and is a nice touch to end the album on.
So if you're someone who wants to throw on some late 2000's electronic pop music and kick it for the day, make sure to head over to the Squatch Den Records page or go to www.Squatchden.com where they have what you need and more. Make sure to let me know what your favorite song of this album is, and put in the comments what you want to see me review next."

Hailing all the way from Australia, we have Thornhill; a band, before reviewing this album, was not familiar with- but after listening don't know why we haven't checked them out before. With a progressive metal sound, "The Dark Pool" is able to balance heavy instrument tones and heavy vocals, with beautiful clean vocals. Thornhill is toned down compared to other metalcore bands coming out of Australia like Thy Art Is Murder, Parkway Drive and Polaris for examples. They have captured a sound with this record that fits them very well.
One song worth mentioning on the album is "Red Summer". This song has a strong sense of sadness that slowly builds to a slightly heavier climax while still remaining delicate and somber. "In My Skin", another song worth mentioning, has a much different sound while still leaving a lasting impression. You can feel the shift in heaviness with the more aggresive back up vocals, while still remaining tasteful and uniform with the record. The overall sound exceded expectations with a pleasent mixture of euphoria and aggression. The back and forth heard makes it an easy listening experience for anyone looking for something new.
