Elder Emo's rejoice! I know we all surely did over the summer when this stacked lineup graced our screens. Fast forward to November 24th, and it. is. time. Get out the chucks and skinny's, cause we all packed Buffalo Riverworks this past Monday night. First order of business- the merch stand. There were some cool designs- but one thing was certainly lacking from each act, and that is the varsity jacket you see in the photo above. It was nowhere to be seen at the show, and we are surely not the only ones who were hoping to score it! Let's hope there is something in works.

Let's talk about the bands, after all that is why we are all here. This classic lineup is straight out of 2005 which had us all singing along to every track they spit at us, starting with ARMOR FOR SLEEP, who has a new full-length album “There Is No Memory” that dropped on 11/07. They played a few new tracks along with some crucial classics like: "The Truth About Heaven" and "Car Underwater" with fans singing every note right back at them.
Next up was SENSES FAIL who played a sixteen-track set starting with classics "Buried A Lie" "Bonecrusher" and "Calling All Cars". Frontman Buddy Nielsen was the most energetic version we have ever seen. Doing pushups on stage, waving his arms, swinging the mic around and full of jokes all at the same time. Nielsen even joked about how many "fat dudes" were in the audience, but said we needed it cause of the lake and cold- so no shame! Underneath all the jokes was a star-packed setlist with an all-star lineup beside him for touring; don't think we didn't notice the guest spots from members of FINCH and STORY OF THE YEAR that night.
Our headline act that evening STORY OF THE YEAR took the stage next on scooters! All smiles and high energy right from the start. Forth or fifth track in, the band suddenly had some kind of an audio issue and had to stop the show. The band exited besides frontman and drummer. While they worked through the issue we got a unique drum solo, along with a handstand competition! After about fifteen minutes or so, the band said FUXK it and proceeded without tracks- which honestly we could not tell the difference! The band played through a twelve-song set and hit all the classics to have fans singing it right back at them until the very end.
