Less than 48 hours later, about fifty of us gathered at the Montage Music hall in Rochester. A very small venue on a side street in the city. The Pretty Wild had the majority of the crowd singing their praises before they even hit the stage, "surprised they did not headline," came out of the mouths of many fans.
It was an older crowd that evening, so things did not get pretty wild. However, they did put on a hell of a show and can really pack that scream! This band has a bright future ahead on Sumerian Records, and we will patiently await the release of their debut full-length.
WARGASM hit the stage next, and full of energy! They tried their damndest to get a circle pit, wall of death, anything going, but did not have the best luck. We may have had a whole six people in the pit. *shrugs* like I mentioned, it was an older crowd. The band did not let the lack of energy stop them. Each member of the band deserves a pedestal for the amount of pure energy they pour into their performance.
This show had the opportunity to be something super special. Two up-and-coming acts throwing a pop-up show for $25 bucks off in a small intimate venue is GOLD! Unfortunatley, Rochester slept on this one. They had their phones up instead of horns. PRETTY WILD & WARGASM- we apologize and can do better! Please come back to upstate again so we can properly rock your socks off, and not just your tees.
