Skillet is a Christian rock band that consists of husband and wife duo- John Cooper (lead vocals, bass) and Korey Cooper (rhythm guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), along with Jen Ledger (drums, vocals) and Seth Morrison (lead guitar). The band has released twelve studio albums, two of which, Collide and Comatose, received Grammy noms.
Troy, PA got the full arena show experience packed into the county fair grandstands on Tuesday night when SKILLET hit our one-stop light town. The grandstands were absolutely packed - this must have been close to a sell-out show for the fair, and on a Tuesday! Impressive, and easy to say one of the best-selling shows they have seen in years. What is even more impressive is they accomplished this during an all-day rainstorm! Something that would have pushed most shows attendance into the dirt on a Tuesday.
This was the first time Skillet hit Troy, PA and for many fans, the first time they had the opportunity to see Skillet as they grabbed the rain coats and boots and hit to the fair! The crowd was ecstatic that night, nearly electric with excitement like a fellowship hall with groups meeting up and reminiscing. The band mixed it up, playing hits old and new: Monster, Those Nights, Not Gonna Die, their new single: Scream, and many more, rocking out with us all until about 9:30.
The band played a tight set with no long speeches attached. Just straight ROCK. For $65, we know you regret not hitting this show if you did miss it. Keep an eye on the bands socials, we expect to see a new album announcement coming for sometime in 2027.
