Kacey Musgraves at The Carolina Theatre — Durham, NC

Posted by Pop Deflators on

This concert review originally appeared on Degenrefy.com written by Ash Starkweather   John and Jacob [★★★★], an impressive songwriting duo, opened the show. They co-wrote The Band Perry’s hit “Done” and performed the song with the crowd singing along. Next they played a very soft sentimental song, “I’d Go Back,” which really won the crowd over. John and Jacob also played “Be My Girl” which was featured on ABC’s hit show Nashville. It’s obvious this duo are great songwriters with an impressive resume and a bright future.   As Kacey Musgraves [★★★★] took the stage she was not impressed with the sitting crowd,...

This concert review originally appeared on Degenrefy.com written by Ash Starkweather Wynonna [★★★★★] was on fire at Durham’s Carolina Theatre. Garth broke his previous North Carolina ticket sales record (from 1998) on this five-day stay in Greensboro. It seems that nothing can stop him now that he’s come out of retirement, and we were ecstatic to catch one of his sold out shows at Greensboro Coliseum. To start the night off, Karyn Rochelle [★★★★★], a Wilmington, NC native, member of Garth’s band, and songwriter for Tricia Yearwood, took...

Kat Country Jam at The Fillmore — Charlotte, NC

Posted by Pop Deflators on

This concert review originally appeared on Degenrefy.com written by Ash Starkweather   The Fillmore was completely sold out and filled to the gills for the Kat Country Jam! The night started off with an auction with proceeds benefiting a local children’s hospital. Auction items included acoustic guitars signed by the likes of Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton, and others, and they yielded several thousand dollars for the hospital! After the auction it was showtime! The crowd screamed when Maddie & Tae [★★★★★] took the stage. They played three acoustic songs for the crowd, one, of course, being their current hit...
